The size of sauna rooms depends on the number of people going to use simultaneously. There are a few important things you should consider for a right sauna room purchase. Consider the size of the room

It’s wise to keep the room smaller as possible. You should keep the depth of every bench typically 19” each and plan on space for your heater. Include an area of 4” around the front area and both sides for fence guard.

A smaller heater is perfect for a smaller room. A smaller circuit breaker is required in the panel ensuring more efficient heating. Virtually, saunas can be of any shape and size. If you like to lie down in your sauna, please keep 6’ in at least one direction.

Consider the size of the bench.

The top bench should be at least 20” wide and 36” from the floor. Generally, benches need to be placed on legs and wall supports. It’s recommended to keep 2” x 4” cedar with ½” space between the boards. You should focus on the cubic footage of the sauna room to determine the capacity of the heating unit.

Consider the ventilation.

Ventilation plays a significant role in sauna room installation. It helps you get ultimate level of satisfaction and pleasure. In addition, ventilation units improve the speed of reheating a sauna room. If there’s shortage of fresh air inside the sauna room, you should check whether there’s insufficient ventilation or pool management of ventilation giving you uncomfortable like feeling. You should locate the heater near the door wall. Keep in mind that the cold air naturally drawn from the door along the floor to heater. Right there, it’ll be heated and naturally go up to the ceiling.

Consider the layout of the bench.

Generally, the bunch depth used is 20”, height is 36” for upper bench or 19” for lower bench. You can go for custom sizes for your convenience.
